Speakeasy Love Hard @ the Shitty Barn

Update 1/17/13: The event itself was pretty amazing. We had 50+ on a night when the Packers were playing. I’m continuing the interviews with participants, and figuring out how to follow up.

There are two blog posts on this amazing evening. First, I interviewed myself–you can read about it here!

Then I posted a post-even post: “Genius Lock: the Sh*tty Barn.”

Sexy. Funny. Poetry.

In Speakeasy Love Hard, Marnie Bullock Dresser has created characters from the 1920s and 30s who duke it out over love and longing and the benefits of whiskey.

The performance at the Shitty Barn, directed by David Daniel, will feature Sarah Day and others bringing these people and these words to steamy life.

Tickets available online and at the door, $7.

Doors open at 7, performance at 7:30 at the Shitty Barn, 506 E. Madison, Spring Green.

(This performance made possible in part by the Spring Green Area Arts Coalition and Sauk County Good Idea Grants.)

If you’ve never been to the Shitty Barn, now is a good time to try it out!
